The Ensemble, founded by Epifanio Comis, is an instrumental group made up of musicians and teachers from the “Vincenzo Bellini” Conservatory of Catania. Winners of national and international competitions, the strings of the Goffriller Ensemble have the privilege of playing four noble instruments: violins Matteo Goffriller (Venice 1710) and Luigi Mingazzi (Ravenna 1922); viola Joannes Florenus Guidantus (Bologna 1692) and cello Enrico Orselli (Pesaro 1911). The program of the performance in Kosovo includes the “Quintet in E flat major for piano and strings, op. 44” by Robert Schumann (1842) and the “Quintet for piano n. 2 in A major, op. 81 “by Antonin Dvoràk (1887). Here is the listening guide.

The “Chopin Piano Fest”, now in its twelfth edition, was established in 2010, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth. Since then, hundreds of musicians from all over Europe have performed in the Kosovar capital. This year’s edition, curated by Lejla Haxhiu-Pula, will see on stage, in addition to Kosovar artists, also many others from Albania, Macedonia, France, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Holland, Slovenia, Spain and, indeed, Italy. It starts on 9 May 2022, with two or three events a week, up to the closing concert, scheduled for 8 June 2022. In addition to the concerts, there will be masterclasses for students and a special competition in honor of Chopin. Here the complete program.
