About the UNDP Kosovo Digital Skills Project
The project builds on the potential of the Digital Economy to provide job opportunities and contribute to economic growth for improved livelihoods for young people. In particular, the intervention provides opportunities for skills development as a key enabler to enhance employability for both sustainable development and social cohesion through targeting specific population groups. The project aims to bridge the skills gap between the targeted population group and the market needs of digital economy, as a means of creating employment and economic growth while simultaneously enhancing inter-ethnic dialogue and understanding. Through a Digital Skills for All (DS4A) approach, the project will increase the digital skillset via bootcamps in six major areas: digital design, digital marketing, web development, networking, mobile applications, and data engineering. Through the DS4A, the project foresees upskilling up to 180 women and men as well as enable young women to access online freelancing opportunities. The trainings will provide the fundamental know-how, introducing users to a range of tools and programming languages currently in high demand within the ICT sector.
