The goal is to highlight the best works of contemporary Italian cinema. Italian Screens is promoted by MAECI, Cinecitt\u00e0, and the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture.<\/p>\n<p>The program &#8211; reflecting the Embassy\u2019s commitment to deepening cultural ties between Italy and Kosovo &#8211; features a series of free, open-to-the-public traveling screenings at the Oda Theater in Pristina and DocuKino in Prizren, bringing for the first time to Kosovo five critically acclaimed and award-winning contemporary Italian films. All movies will be shown in their original Italian language with English subtitles.<\/p>\n<p>Italian Ambassador to Pristina, <strong>Maurizio Antonini<\/strong>, said: \u201cWe are very pleased to present a festival celebrating the talent of contemporary Italian cinema, with a special focus on new female voices and perspectives. The inclusion of two female directors, Delpero and Vicario, among the selected films, and the central role of the protagonists in <em>Diamanti<\/em>, is no coincidence &#8211; it is a tribute to the vitality and depth of the female gaze in telling the story of our society.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Screening Schedule:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Monday, June 23, Oda Theater, Pristina:<\/strong> <em>Vermiglio<\/em> by Maura Delpero (2024). Selected to represent Italy at the 2025 Oscars for Best International Feature Film, this film has already won the Silver Lion \u2013 Grand Jury Prize at the 2024 Venice Film Festival, along with seven David di Donatello awards including Best Film, Director, Screenplay, and Cinematography.<br \/>\n<em>Vermiglio<\/em> is a powerful story that weaves together memory and identity, guiding us through the folds of history and the wounds of the past.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tuesday, June 24, DocuKino, Prizren:<\/strong> <em>Diamanti<\/em> by Ferzan Ozpetek (2024). Winner of the 2025 Nastro d\u2019Argento Award for Film of the Year and the David dello Spettatore as the most-watched Italian film in 2024.<br \/>\n<em>Diamanti<\/em> is a refined emotional portrait blending desire, ambition, and self-affirmation, serving as a tribute to women\u2019s strength and determination to come together and support one another.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wednesday, June 25, DocuKino, Prizren:<\/strong> <em>Gloria!<\/em> by Margherita Vicario (2024).<br \/>\nMargherita Vicario\u2019s debut feature won the 2025 David di Donatello Awards for Best New Director and Best Original Song.<br \/>\n<em>Gloria!<\/em> is an anthem to creative freedom, mixing baroque music with youthful rebellion, celebrating the power of the female voice in a world that tries to silence it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Thursday, June 26, Oda Theater, Pristina:<\/strong> <em>Il Bambino Nascosto<\/em> by Roberto And\u00f2 (2021).
