The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation promotes the circulation of Italian books abroad as one of its key cultural diplomacy initiatives aimed at promoting Italian culture around the world.
To this end, the Ministry awards grants and prizes to support:
- the translation of Italian literary and scientific works into foreign languages;
- the production, dubbing or subtitling into foreign languages of short films, feature films and television series.
