Italian language and culture

In Pristina, Italian is offered as a foreign language both at the University “Hasan Prishtina” UP and at the University for Business and Technology UBT. Through the collaboration with the Italian Embassy, free courses open to the entire population are offered at both the “Language Center” of UP (qendraegjuheve@uni-pr.edu) and the Institute of Foreign Languages of UBT (ifl@ubt-uni.net). In several cities, there are private schools specializing in teaching Italian (e.g., in Pristina the “Qendra Dante” and the “Britannica-ELT”).

Elementary and middle school students can learn Italian as a curricular subject at the “Don Bosko” school in Pristina, where it is offered from the second grade through to the final year of high school.

Starting in March 2025, CELI language certification exams from the University for Foreigners of Perugia will be available in Kosovo, at the UBT Institute of Foreign Languages.
