Dialogue, media and the fight against radicalization: here the awarded projects for Kosovo of “Bando Balcani”

The procedure for granting of funds in favour of projects with the aim of allowing Italian participation in international peace and humanitarian initiatives pursuant to art.23 ter of DPR 18/1967, proposed by private non-profit organizations, deserving of co-financing, has been concluded (“Bando Balcani”):

Here the three projects selected for Kosovo:

  • “Building resilience: strengthening the capacities of Kosovan Institutions in the post-release phase of violent extremists”: proposed by CESI (Italy) in collaboration with the Kosovo Center for Security Studies (Kosovo), and aimed at fighting the radicalization of young people and the social reintegration of former foreign fighters who have returned to the country;
  • “Media Strengthening the Rule of law in Kosovo”: proposed by BIRN-Kosovo (Kosovo) and intended to public monitoring judicial cases of public corruption and disseminate them widely with the purpose of raising awareness in public opinion;
  • “Civil Societies in Kosovo and Serbia promoting a participatory and meaningful reconciliation process”, proposed by Kosovo Democratic Institute (Kosovo) and intended to strengthen the involvement of Kosovar and Serbian civil society organizations in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
